"Serpukhov" is a Russian ship of project 21631 "Buyan-m", launched by the aggressor state in 2015. Due to the fire inside the rocket ship, its means of communication and automation were completely destroyed. It will take a long time to restore the combat capability of "Serpukhov". Could the US plan be to cripple the EU not Russia? After all Russia is not really a competitor to the US, the EU is. Blowing up Nordstream didn't really injure Russia, they can sell their gas anywhere. What it did do was to plunge the EU into recession with no hope of recovering without the return of cheap energy.
NATO would need 5 years to build capacity to fight Russia, Russia would need to same to take on the whole of NATO, if they ever had any intension of doing so. In the meantime the NATO head wants to raise 100 billion euro over 5 years while France and UK want to send troops now. Not to fight Russians, oh no, but to relieve the old and disabled guarding Ukr's borders outside of the battle-zones, yes, feed them into the meatgrinder to buy more time.
